The Minister of Interior, Fathi Basha Agha, met on Monday with the Algerian Prime Minister during his visit to Algeria, accompanied by a high level security delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common interest between the two countries. The Algerian Prime Minister also stressed that his country is ready to contribute to the Libyan dialogue, saying that the African Union should have an effective role in the stability of Libya, pointing out that there is resentment from African leaders on the current situation in Libya because of the attempt by the militias of Haftar to seize control of the capital Tripoli.
As the Prime Minister pointed out, the President of the African Union should speak about the countries that are destabilizing Libya and name them. Haftar is not a thing in front of the holiness and greatness of Libya, and its importance at the regional and international levels, he also added, the United Nations should issue a statement on the current situation Where Libya is the result of an attempt to control the capital Tripoli.
The Prime also pointed to the possibility of opening airspace between Algeria and Libya as soon as possible, praising the role of the Libyan Minister of the Interior, Mr. Fathi Basha Agha, in his efforts to stabilize Libya, and that Libya will maintain unity.
